As an Estimating Technician, you will be integral in helping the estimation and project management team win jobs and construct them profitably. This role requires a strong understanding of the HLSI estimating platform and the landscape trade, as well as dedication to work quality, service, and character. 


Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate material takeoffs in STACK software,
  • Request and input quotes for irrigation materials, site furnishings, subcontractors, and other suppliers into bid Excel files.
  • Follow up with clients on pending bids and virtually attend weekly operations meetings.
  • Assist in change order proposals, generate RFIs, and maintain bid files according to protocol.
  • Virtually attend daily meetings with the direct supervisor and construction coordination meetings as needed.
  • Complete and submit bid submission documents for supervisor review and update the project schedule weekly.
  • Track subcontractor certificates of insurance and manage change orders.
  • Compile and submit submittal packages and complete closeout/warranty documents as part of the project closeout process.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Teams, Excel, SharePoint, and Word.
  • General construction estimating knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in STACK software with minimal direction.
  • Strong desire to be part of a close, supportive team.
  • Willingness to learn and complete tasks as needed to support the team.
  • Comfortable working with various software systems and basic computer skills.
